About the event
We are thrilled to announce the challenge of constructing a boat using only cardboard, without the use of adhesives, nails, staples, or similar products. A comprehensive list of rules will be provided. Participants can compete in three categories: Best Time, Best Design, and Best Costume.
Rules: August 23rd Boats are to be made of corrugated cardboard, no plastic or wax coated cardboard, it can be of any thickness, No tubes allowed, no material such as Styrofoam, or rubber inflation devices may be used to provide buoyancy.
1)Boat may be painted, joints and seams may be glued and taped. Duct tape contact cement, rubber cement or construction adhesive may be used.
2) NO nails, staples, metal or wood fasteners. NO Flexsteel
3)Boats may be any length, width or height
4) all boats must be carried to the water
